Serious and Violent Offender Reentry Initiative Grantee

Arkansas Department of Community Corrections (Amount: $2,000,000*)

The Arkansas Department of Community Corrections will use its FY 2002 funds to assist both adult and juvenile offenders returning from confinement to communities in greater Little Rock (Faulkner, Lonoke, Pulaski, and Saline Counties). The program will serve approximately 210 juveniles and 450 adults over 3 years. Services provided will include restitution and community service, education, housing, job training and placement, substance abuse and mental health treatment, and medical and faith-based support groups. Transitional living services for adults and eligible juveniles will also be provided through contractors. For more information, read this grantee’s workplan.
