Serious and Violent Offender Reentry Initiative Grantee

Delaware Health and Social Services (Amount: $1,993,496*)

Delaware Health and Social Services will target high-risk offenders ages 18–35 from the following secure confinement facilities: The Multi-Purpose Criminal Justice Facility in Wilmington, the Webb Correctional Facility in Wilmington, the Sussex Correction Institution in Georgetown, the Women’s Correctional Institution in New Castle, and the Delaware Correctional Center in Smyrna. By the third year of the program, the project will be fully staffed and serve up to 300 offenders per year. Services will include substance abuse treatment, employment training, case management and supervision, and mental health services. For more information, read this grantee’s workplan.
