Serious and Violent Offender Reentry
Initiative Grantees
South Carolina Department of Corrections (Amount: $1,000,002*)
The South Carolina Department of Corrections will target adult
offenders throughout the state. Through the South Carolina Reentry
Project, the department will partner with various service agencies
to address the challenges of recidivism, substance abuse, and physical
and mental health issues and to support workforce participation,
housing, family reunification, faith-based issues, and restorative
justice. For more

South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (Amount: $999,989*)
The South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice will target
juvenile offenders released to Orangeburg, Calhoun, and Dorchester
Counties. Through the juvenile reentry project, the Department
of Juvenile Justice will partner with various service agencies
to address the challenges of recidivism, substance abuse, and physical
and mental health issues and to support workforce participation,
transportation, family reunification, housing (where appropriate),
faith-based issues, and community restitution.
