Text Version of the Procedures for Delivering Training and Technical Assistance The procedures for delivering training and technical assistance begin when a formal request is made by the grantee's authorized signatory or designee. The grantee submits this request online by going to the Reentry Web site (www.ojp.usdoj.gov/reentry) and completing the online Technical Assistance Request Form, calling the toll-free number of the National Training and Technical Assistance Center (800-830-4031), or faxing a copy of the request form to 703-385-3206. The federal TA Project Director's Office and federal grantee manager are notified of the TA request when it is received. The Technical Assistance Coordinator (TAC) then conducts a needs assessment, develops a proposal plan, and submits the proposal plan to the federal agency partners for approval. If the request is approved, the identified federal partner delivers the technical assistance within 30 days. If the request is denied, the TAC consults with the federal TA Project Director's Office and submits a second plan for TA delivery. Once the TA request has been fulfilled, the TA provider submits a final report and the TAC sends the TA Evaluation Form to the TA requester. At this point, the TA request is closed. Note: Throughout the process the federal grant managers are notified and provided with documentation of all significant steps as they occur.
