The Second Chance Act of 2007

(H.R. 1593/S. 1934) This bill was signed into law on April 9, 2008 to reauthorize revise the grant program within the Department of Justice (DOJ) for reentry of offenders into the community in the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, to improve reentry planning and implementation, and for other purposes.

Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006

The Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006, signed by the President July 27, 2006 includes many provisions regarding sex offenders and their reentry into communities nationwide.
